Geographic range and origin: The house sparrow is a cosmopolitan species. They can be found in most parts of the world. The house sparrow was originally recorded in Eurasia, North Africa and the Middle East, and have rapidly spread to most parts of the world.
Habitat: House Sparrows are commonly found in the proximity of people and manmade structures. They do not thrive in heavy forested areas and grasslands, but they are very common on farmlands, cities, and towns. Also, they do not tolerate extreme environments.
